Krafty Beats & Breaks Brazilian Stylee!
Krafty Kuts returns from a storming tour of Brazil to find himself nominated for Radio One’s Best Essential Mix 2005! Is there no stopping this man?!
Krafty Kuts has just touched down from a whirlwind weekend in booty-capital Brazil. His dedicated manager Abel Reynolds insisted on accompanying him in the interest of... ahem.. gathering contacts... and by the looks of Abel in the office today, they had a wild time.
First stop was Rio de Janeiro where Krafty played at Clube Fosfobox (big shouts to Nepal, Duda, Patrica and Daniel who looked after the pair during their whole stay in Rio - most appreciated!). The club was packed to the rafters with rump-shaking punters, and Krafty didn't disappoint by laying on his trademark style of scratching, sampling and splicing together the funkiest cuts around. Then it was onto Sao Paolo where Charlie B, Danny, Daniel, Cynthia and Frangelico from Boogie Monsters continued the party in style and showed our duo a brilliant time. Again the club was rammed with serious South American breakheads!
Both club nights were amazing and Krafty and Abel agree that the breaks scene in Brazil is definitely starting to flourish. Oh - and if anyone happens to come across a kingsize bottle of Cachaca on a TAP airplane, it belongs to Abel - he left his duty free on the plane. I think he spent too much time chatting to Krafty’s mate Mr Bronson and he forgot.
Our favourite deck wizard is now preparing himself to travel back down under to the land of Oz with stablemates Soul of Man for some major shows over Christmas and New Year, including Breakfest, Field Day and Summer Field Daze to name a few. Check the Fuzzy website for details.
